Primal Hub · Gyms, coaches, schools, employers, cities and brands

The ecosystem around every Primal race

Primal is a hybrid fitness race across the Gulf, North Africa and Asia-Pacific. Around every race is a network that works all year: certified gyms running our sessions, coaches bringing people through, schools racing a league, employers fielding teams, and cities that host us and keep the programme after we leave. That network is what fills a start line before entries open. This page is for anyone who wants a place in it.

01 How it works

One loop, running in every market

Every Primal market runs as a loop. Each turn adds athletes to the next race, and each new city adds a turn.

  1. 01

    A gym joins

It becomes a Primal Hub and starts running Primal sessions on race-day standards.

  2. 02

    Its members train

Benchmark sessions give them a number to beat before they ever enter.

  3. 03

    They race

The same 8 stations, the same loads and the same judging as every other city.

  4. 04

    Some qualify

Every race is a qualifier, and the fastest earn a place at the World Championships.

  5. 05

    The Championships make the content

Film, results and stories that reach people who have never raced.

  6. 06

    Those people find a gym

    The loop starts again.

Every new city adds a fixture to the calendar, a place on the qualifying board and another set of athletes who will travel, so each one makes the existing cities worth more.

02 What it leaves behind

Participation that outlasts the weekend

We build the gym network, the coaching and the school and workplace programmes before entries open, so the community exists before race day and is still running 12 months after it.

4 outcomes a market partnership is built to deliver

People training through the year

Hub members, school leagues and workplace teams active all season, with a race to train towards.

An annual fixture

Every market we have returned to has been run at twice the capacity of its first year.

Athletes who travel

A qualification pathway means athletes from other markets come to race, stay and come back.

Results that compare

Standardised judging and a fixed course mean results from your city sit on the same board as every other, permanently.

03 Ways in

6 ways in, all through one address

Gyms

Become a Primal Hub

Hubs run Primal sessions and Primal Primers, our benchmark workouts built on race stations, on the same movement standards we judge on race day. A Hub gets the programming, coach certification, a listing on primal-race.com and a route to bring a team to every race in the calendar. Your members get a season to train through and a start line at the end of it. We're direct about what a Hub costs and what it takes to run one. Tell us about your gym and we'll come back with the terms.

Coaches and athletes

Ambassadors

Ambassadors race Primal and bring people with them. The programme runs training camps, content and early access to entries.

Schools

School leagues

8 stations, scaled for age. Students train through a term, race a school league fixture and finish something they didn't expect to. We run to the safeguarding standards our school partners require and we work with your PE staff rather than around them.

Employers

Workplace programmes

Built on the race format. Benchmark sessions for the whole team, a team challenge, and a place on the start line in Primal Team, our division for teams of three, for the ones who want it. From a single day to a full season.

Cities and destinations

Host a race

Primal is built to sit inside national health and tourism agendas. A race brings visiting athletes, a content package that travels and a community programme that stays after the weekend. We work with tourism boards, sports councils and destination authorities on hosting, licensing and long-term community delivery. Tell us your objectives and we'll set out what a race in your city looks like.

Brands

Partner across 4 surfaces

Race day, the gym network, the content package and the year-round programmes. A Primal partnership runs across all 4, and a category is held by one brand in a market and released once.

04 How we work with partners

What we hold and what partners bring

Primal holds the course, the loads, the movement standards, the judging and the brand, so a race in your city is the same race as everywhere else. Our partners bring market access, local relationships, venues and on-the-ground delivery.

Athletes together after finishing a Primal race

5 steps, first conversation to season review

  1. 01

    First conversation

You tell us your objective and your market. We tell you what we can deliver and what we can't.

  2. 02

    Market fit

We test the case together before anyone commits.

  3. 03

    The plan

Roadshow, Hubs, ambassadors, partner targets and operations, locked before we go live.

  4. 04

    Market goes live

The Hub network and the community are active in the weeks before entries open.

  5. 05

    Season review

We agree what success looks like before signature and report against it every season, whether it flatters us or not.

We're direct about cost and about what we can't deliver.
